, Austin’s Traveling Art Camp!
Explore the BEST of Austin and the Hill Country’s Art Scene. We’ll visit The Blanton, take a metal-smithing class at Creative Side Jewelry Academy, see interesting public art works, watch a glass-blowing demonstration and so much more. We’ll stretch our imaginations while viewing interesting public artworks, art galleries and creating our own art.
We’ll head out into the world for the early part of the day and be back to The Art Garage to create in the studio during the afternoons. Campers can expect to create their own hand-forged metal rings, glass slumped dish, mosaic artwork, large scale public mural and more. This camp will also include art history, art techniques, and the opportunity to reflect on our own work and the artwork of others.
Van-A-Gogh-go! Session 1: June 13 – 17
Van-A-Gogh-go! Session 2: July 11 – 15
Arrive at: The Art Garage each day at 9 am, sharp.
Pick up: at 5pm. Additional care is available until 6pm.
Ages: 11-15, This camp is open to all rising 6th to 10th graders who enjoy making and experiencing art. Space is limited to just 12 campers per week. Ratio: at least 6:1
Cost: $425, includes all entrances fees, classes, materials, travel, t-shirt
